Motorists will have to fork out yet more money for fuel on Wednesday (5 March) as petrol and diesel prices increase again.

The department of energy announced on Friday (28 February) that the retail price of petrol (93 and 95 ULP and LRP) will increase by 36c/l. The price of diesel will go up by 35c/l (0,05% sulphur) and 36c/l (0,005%).

The Automobile Association (AA) said in a statement that “Strong international crude oil prices have overpowered the appreciating Rand, leaving South African consumers facing yet another hefty fuel price increase in March.”
